It Begins

Back from down South a few days ago, but didn't post as it was my last few days with my husband.  He left early this morning for his deployment.  For my first actual* deployment, I think I did pretty darn well.  No tears, no sad words, just lots of hugs and a variety of 'I miss you' and 'be safe'.  Oh, and one 'get those bad guys' with the response of 'I'll get on after the buggers'.
Of course, the minute the door was closed the tears came.  It felt good to let it out finally.

Royal called from the airport where their flight was delayed, which was very sweet, though it made me a little sad again.  But now he's off.

Which leaves me here to deal with not one, but two repairmen set to come within the next week.  One to fix part of our bathroom, and the other to fix our 2 1/2 month old refrigerator.  Which broke last Sunday morning, which we didn't realize until late Sunday night, which they can't even come look at until next Tuesday.  Tuesday!  So I'm out of cooling or freezing for 8 days.  Yay.

Big adventure!  So far, so good.

* For those that may not know, my hubby and I carried on a bicontinental relationship before we were married.  So technically I've been through a few deployment periods, just never him leaving from my company.

Glad you are geting settled, have a bank and hope the fridge is fixed at least! Sorry to hear Royal is off so soon. Hope it's not for too long and the time flies for you. Chocolate and wine help!

Hey Charlie! Thank you for the encouragement. Chocolate has been high on my list of priorities lately!
Hopefully you'll read this because lately I haven't been able to comment on your blog. Not sure why, though I know if you switch it so that anonymous people can comment I should be able to again. I'd love to comment again! It's not been because I don't care! :o)
