I've not had the pleasure of having children as of yet, but I can almost imagine what my poor parents have been going through the last week.
Let's start with me, I'm engaged to a British guy. There is a chance that one, or both sets of our parents will be having to spoil their grandchildren from an ocean away. Be the nice lady on the other end of the phone. We are both close to our parents. So there's that. They knew this was coming...
I have a younger brother, M (I almost typed "little," but he's got about 6 inches on me). We are four years apart, so he just graduated high school last June ~ and left for China to learn Chinese at a well-known institute. I think mom's biggest fear was that he'd meet a Chinese girl and never come back :o) Don't know where she got that idea.
Here is M, with a friend, and I kid you not, they were performing Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" in my apartment living room! He is quite the entertainer ~ Love you, man!
M LOVES it there. Has made new friends, been introduced to new things, (though he has visited before) and done very well with the language. He's one of those people that can mimic almost anything, a natural at languages. He'll be coming back this June, to go to school here in Texas... but who knows if or when he'll get "the call" to visit the place he, well, grew up.
We have suddenly become quite the international family :o)
i still think of Evan as my little brother.

What a cutie!!
Love the new look! Isn't it fun? I'm still working on mine - of course I keep being told, "oh, that's easy!" yeah right! LOL
I'm just thrilled when my post comes out...

Pat: I guess it'll always be that way :)
YM: Thanks, I kinda think so, but I'm biased! It is fun, I feel all kinds of renewed. Your site looks great! Bravo!
