She being me! I've just booked my ticket to go visit Royal for the last time before I ... well, move over there. I'll be going in August for THREE weeks! Not only that, but for the first time in my almost four year career my boss will be giving me some paid vacation time!
Here's our to-do list so far
1) Hang out and enjoy each other's company like "normal" couples do!!
2) Meet his Mom's side of the family, located in sunny Scotland. Mom's Scottish, Dad's English. I've heard you can put Braveheart in the dvd player and watch the fireworks ;o) It's quite a lengthly road trip up to Scotland, so I'll get some quality time with Royal's Mom as well.
3) Checking out where we'll be living. He's been moved since the last time I visited, so I have yet to see his shiny new camp. Hopefully meet some of his new Commando buddies, too.
4) First driving tutorial. Since we'll be living in the married quarters, we don't have a lot of money, and I need to get a job, my honey's "giving" me his car. Not only do I not normally drive on the WRONG side of the road, I've also never had much experience with a stick-shift. Heh, should be interesting to say the least. I'm excited for the roundabouts.
5) Visit our great friend in London. He's also a Marine and newly engaged, so we're gonna hang out with his Mrs. and hopefully see the rest of the sites I missed after this last trip. He's actually the one that took us around London for that day, an excellent tour guide and an incredibly thoughtful guy.
And I want to watch a live rugby game and learn more hand-to-hand combat moves.
London - Glasgow (for example) is about as far as Boston - D.C.
But without the significant road rage that I-95 induces.

Heh!
Well, as I've never experienced either one, I'll take your word for it!
