So.....
Just got back from the doctors office. Again. About four days ago I started scratching my back on the left side thinking I had a bug bite. The next day it started itching on the left side of my stomach, and I began having back pain in the same area. It got worse, but I finished work that day thanks to pain meds. Then yesterday the pain continued and worsened and I had to leave work early. I got heating pads, and more pain meds (seriously, thank God for pain medicine).
Turns out I have shingles. Damn.
Shingles, for those that don't know, is a viral infection that people who have had chicken pox can get. Usually it's older people that have trouble with it because of weak immune systems, but in my case it's due to weakened immune system because of stress. Shingles can lead to a lot of scary problems, but I was told that since I'm young I should be okay.
Oh, and there's nothing that cures it and no guarantee of how long it will take to disappear. I have to take a week off of work, too. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself!
Other than the continued pain (which I now also feel where the stomach itching is) and itchiness, I feel good. I'm still cheery, no tears this time! And honestly, I have all of Royal's dvds to work through, so not all is lost.
Y'all will probably be hearing a lot from me for the next week, just a warning :o)
Eeek! Glad that's "all" it is, though.

Yeah me too, though I can't stress how freakin' painful it is - I've also (after doing more research after I started feeling depressed) found that it comes with exhaustion and depression. So that's a bonus!
Thanks for the comment ;o)

My grandma had 'em a few summers ago when she visited, and it was painful to look at her. I'm definitely un-envious at this point!
Hang in there, and you're welcome!
