Yeah. So funny thing: I'm going home. By myself, and for quite a while.
As it turns out, our immigration attorney didn't really spell out all of the options for us and we were going to be filing from Britain (for those not in the know, we are working on filing for spouse settlement in the United States for hubby). While the attorney was thinkin' one thing, God was watching out for us and by complete non-coincidence we discovered we had another option, option 'C' as I like to call it.
Long story short, I will be flying back to the States next week with our puppy. Turns out filing from the U.S. will be quicker and will also allow Royal to enter the states on a Visa before the settlement comes through. Big bonus there.
Royal will be deployed again two weeks after that. Nice and neat there. I'll begin filing for the good ol' green card while living in the States. Royal will join me there for Christmas and we'll both fly back to Britain in January - me for a month to pack up our house and tie up loose ends, and Royal to move back onto camp until he is released from the Marines and his Visa comes through.
Sooo, about 3 weeks to figure out how to get a pup overseas, (talk about drama) figure out our two different schedules, figure out if we're giving up the house now, in the middle, later, do I stay home in the States to save money or do I come back to my baby, what do I take back with me, what does Royal bring in December.... Whoa.
One minute I'm stuck (I use the word affectionately, of course) in Britain for an unknown amount of time, and the next I'm leaving with barely enough time to realize I'm leaving. Just a little fast if I do say so. But we're dealing fantastically as per usual.
Golly you don't hang about do you? The good thing is that your blogging can continue wherever you are. Hope you are really better again to cope with it all and the best of luck.

Wow!
Don'cha think it funny when people say "You should write a book about your experiences?" Glad that you've already done so for us!
Enjoy your travels and trials, and happy cramming of your "Things I Wanted to Do While I'm Here" list!
