Royal's been gone for a while now. It was tough, we were thinking that this time just last year we were flying off together to live in our new home as a new couple. Year later sees him flying off alone, with no return (to me!) flight, AND we haven't been living together for four months now - and counting!
What is this crazy life, I ask myself.
On the super news front, his little sister has given birth to a healthy 6 1/2 pound baby boy! Mom is doing well and the little guy has been dubbed Bradley. I've already seen photos and he is a darling. I gotta tell ya, buying all sorts of baby items for the past six months has definitely made me broody. My husband's been broody for two years, now I guess I'm there, too! And to think I used to tease him so.
Of course, we have to wait until we're in the same country. Meh.
In other super, but not as exciting as above, news (why do I feel as if this is a bulk Christmas card mailout??!) we added Royal to my U.S. bank accounts. It took TWO DAYS to add him AND to receive his debit card!! Two days! Many may wonder why this would be typed with exclamation points. Please visit the A Story of Two Banks post. It took THREE months for two different banks to get me added to Royal's bank accounts in the U.K. Royal was leaving for deployment two days after it finally came through. Three months... two days... three months... two days.... God bless America!
I'm back at work tomorrow. Will be stair-stepping my way back to a full day - hopefully the effects of the shingles and mono are in the past now. I'm glad I'm working again, takes my mind off other things.
Will continue regularly scheduled blogging very soon!
Hope you are really getting back to good health. At least you have your family keeping an eye on you.
