Went with my Mom to Central Market (ooohh! ahhhh!) this weekend. While she was bustling around picking up items I took some photographs*. They make me hungry. Enjoy!
We'll start with tomatoes:
Just look at those heirlooms. I can still smell them.... yum! We passed on these, but I was tempted!
I'm not a big apple fan - except in pies, of course! - but the rows and rows sure looked delicious.
Central Market has funny / interesting quotes painted on the walls throughout the store. Such as "Once Eve ate the apple, much depends on dinner" - Lord Byron
I have a strange habit of taking shots of my feet. I must have a hundred of them. Luckily, my husband doesn't mind that I'm an odd duck!
Someone will have to explain to me why they do this to cauliflower. Or "white trees" as hubby calls them. Well, not in this photo...
Now, on any given day if you asked me to name 25 foods that make my mouth water, I would not ever say carrots. Except, seeing these that day & looking at this photo makes my mouth water. I've had fresh carrots twice since.
They also have neat signs like this all over. It's like a playground for adults! I wanted to get some photos of their beautiful meat counters, but there were way too many people (Saturday afternoon, go figure).
Yes, for just $11.95 you can have your very own bottle of Bitch wine! Can you believe it! As you can see, it's a product of Australia.
But we're not in Australia, we're in Texas. So take a gander at the Wrangler Cabernet Sauvignon. Never tried it, but it's so pretty!
*I didn't use a flash, just the light that was available. Since the light varies in the photos thought I'd mention it. Can you tell I'm not a photographer!? Just love snappin'.
Those tomatoes have got me craving some of my mom's fried green tomatoes! It's so very difficult to find green tomatoes over here. I might just have to grow my own. lol

Overseas food cravings are killer! It would be really cool if you could grow them... Good luck!

On the way back from holiday we stopped at a village shop and I bought some perfect looking toms. They were utterly tasteless. I'm sure the less perfect looking ones are the tastier.

When that happens, it's the worst! Wonder why it happens...
